Recall of Perfect Aire dehumidifiers manufactured by New Widetech

 U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall today for dehumidifiers manufactured by New Widetech between January 1, 2009 through August 31, 2017.  Under certain circumstances these dehumidifiers can overheat and catch fire posing fire and burn hazards; no injuries have been reported.  The recall affects many popular brands.  The affected Perfect Aire models are: Model # 1PED30 1PED50 1PED50S 1PED70 1PEDP50 1PEDP70 PADP50 PADP70   Hazard: The recalled dehumidifiers can overheat and catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards. Problem: Unit produces warm/tepid water, from garden hose. I added a flow control valve to shower head, but only improves marginally. Set the gas and water knobs to minimum. At this setting, use the gas temperature knob to find your desired temperature. The water dial knob is to control the water flow. Have it to minimum means less flow and exact opposite when you have to maximum setting. You may adjust according to your preference.
