Rain Cap - Use as a termination on vertical systems. Category I and II appliances require a raincap or other device to prevent rainwater from entering the vent. Vent systems for positive pressure appliances may omit the raincap if there are other provisions for draining rainwater from the system. The raincap may also be used as a horizontal termination.
