PLEASE NOTE: To take full advantage of the RTEON-POE network features you must use the MS1 Management System for programming. If your RTS experiences a mechanical or electronic failure caused by defects in material or manufacturing workmanship during the 2-year warranty period Westinghouse Security will repair or replace the unit at our expense.
In addition, during the first 30 days after purchase, Westinghouse Security offers a FREE advance replacement of your RTS with a new RTS at our expense. The original RTS must be returned within 14 days from the date the replacement is received or you will be liable for the full retail price of the replacement. Advance replacements after the first 30 days are available for a fee. The returned RTS must include all items that were originally included in the package or additional fees will apply.
If you purchased this product new in the U.S. or Puerto Rico, Westinghouse Security warrants it against defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase. This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. During the warranty period, Westinghouse Security agrees to repair or, at its option, replace the defective product, or any part of it without charge for parts or labor. This is your exclusive remedy. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, lack of reasonable care, the affixing of any attachment not provided by Westinghouse Security with the product and loss of parts. The warranty is voided in the event any unauthorized person alters or repairs the unit.

If failure occurs and your RTS is in warranty, service shall be provided by returning it to Westinghouse Security - Repair Center, 41040 Hwy 27 Davenport, FL 33837 Shipping prepaid. The product will be repaired or replaced if examination by us determines the product to be defective. Units received damaged as a result of shipping will require you to file a claim with the carrier.
Warranty is VOID due to the following:
1. The lock is abused or misused. This includes scratches or other damage that can occur during installation.
2. The lock is damaged or neglected during installation or use.
a. Exposure of the inner portion of the lock to rain or snow. The outdoor portions can be exposed and are designed for rugged all-weather exposure.
b. Mounting the lock on any temporary building (such as a shed) or semi-permanent buildings (such as a pool enclosure) voids the warranty.
c. Mounting the lock on any surface that is not flat. This includes grooved woods or any surface that prevents the rubber grommet from sealing the lock to the surface of the door.
d. Overtightening the Fixing Plate Screws – The fixing plate is the 2” square metal plate that holds the outside half of the lock to the door. The purpose of this plate is to simply hold the lock there until the inside half can be installed. The three mounting screws actually pull the lock halves together and provide sufficient mounting torque. If the fixing plate is overtightened, it will internally distort the mechanical parts inside the lock.
3. Modification of the locks made by the customer in any way. (if you feel your lock requires modification in any way please contact us and we will discuss making the modifications for you).
